Book Launch Announcement

Children’s author, poet, and storyteller Zenzi Hodge announces the June 26 release of I Am, a heartfelt children’s book inspired by the poem Virgin Island Child created by her later father and Virgin Islands educator, Larry Sewer.

Written for children ages 3–9, I Am follows five children as they journey across St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island, discovering the beauty, culture, and hidden treasures that connect them to their home, and to themselves. Along the way, they uncover an important truth: that they are valuable, loved, and enough—just as they are.
