It’s Story Time is a lively, interactive story telling experience, for children grades Pre-K to 3rd, which features the literary works of authors and story tellers of the US Virgin Islands.  Taking the format of an online program, each month, the audience will enjoy a live story reading, by a featured author and/or storyteller, of his or her own work.  Following the reading, the audience will then participate in a Q&A session with the author and other children in attendance.

 

The aim of It’s Story Time is varied in that it provides benefits to both the audience and author alike.  Each month, children will be introduced to the published works of a Virgin Islands author.  This experience not only awakens their senses to reading and literacy but it also allows students to enjoy and explore the written works of those of the US Virgin Islands.  Further, It’s Story Time allows the author an opportunity to extend the reach of his/her work to children locally, nationally, and internationally.
